About Tillona Law
Mary Anne Tillona founded Tillona Law in 2006 after leaving the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel for a software technology provider.
Tillona Law provides legal services to businesses, specializing in preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts, intellectual property licensing and other corporate transactions and management of other important legal matters and risk mitigation efforts. The desire and ability to gain a deeper understanding of the client’s business is a major part of the value proposition of Tillona Law.
As an experienced former General Counsel, Mary Anne Tillona is available to serve the function of sole in-house counsel or to supplement existing legal staff during peak periods or to assist with large or unusual transactions such as an M&A transaction or a complex contract negotiation. Tillona Law serves small and start-up companies that don’t yet need or cannot afford full-time counsel, as well as larger private and public companies and not-for-profit organizations that need cost-effective and high quality legal resources to attend to peak or specialized legal needs but cannot justify additional legal staff or large law firm fees. Without the expensive overhead of a traditional large law firm, Tillona Law is able to offer rates substantially below those of large law firms for an attorney of comparable experience.
Our first priority is to understand the client’s business and its unique challenges. Drawing from years of corporate legal and other business experience, we are able to “hit the ground running” and very quickly assess a company’s needs and legal issues, vastly reducing costly learning time. We also bring a practical business approach to deal negotiations.
To date, most clients have been referred to Tillona Law from former clients and stakeholders. This speaks to the quality of the work product and level of client satisfaction.
